japan travel

Getting around Japan is relatively easy. The major cities are all made accessible by the country’s massive, excellent and reliable transportation network. Bullet trains (Shinkansen) run at great speed covering hundreds of miles in just a couple of hours. English may not be widely spoken but visitors should not feel daunted. Signs and directions at major stations, tourist maps and brochures all have English translation and so are station names/stops. Announcements are also often translated in English. A wide-range of accommodation awaits each visitor, from western type to the more traditional---Japanese Inn called ‘Ryokan’. Natural hot spring baths (Onsen), private or public are widespread, making every visit truly remarkable.

This beautiful island in Asia is blessed with four seasons, each with its own distinctive charm and attributes, making ‘anytime’ the perfect time to visit. Japan has everything for everyone ---the culinary feast, opulent traditions, unique cultural heritage, festivals, natural landscape, performing arts---all make up a fascinating portrait waiting to be explored.

This page will give you useful knowledge and understanding of Japan and travelling in Japan.
