Q. Delivery to Poland

I would like to ask about JR Pass. I notice that you send pass card to Poland, perhaps you know how long should it take to be delivered?

Second thing i would like to ask about Departure Date on the form - its date the trip to Japan is beginning?

faq With Royal mail to Poland, it may take 2-3 weeks, sometimes it takes more. So we strongly recommend you to choose FedEx option. By FedEx it will take only about 5 working days.

Regarding Departure Date on the form, this is your departure date from your country. This is to make sure there is an enough time for you to receive the pass and also you are leaving within 3 months from your purchase. (as the pass needs to be validated within 3 months from your purchase)

So the departure date is not your pass starting date.

You can nominate yourself the day that you wish to start using your Japan Rail Pass at the time of validating it in Japan. You can choose any date within the following month to start using your pass.

Q. Rail pass collection

I will be travelling to Japan in 2 months and I just ordered my 14days rail pass online today. Can you keep may pass until I come to collect from your office for about 2 months?

faq Of course, we will keep it until you come for collection, but please don’t forget to collect it before you leave UK!

Q. Tokyo to Nagano

I will be travelling to Japan in Jan and thinking of visiting Monkey Park in Nagano. Can we use rail pass to get there from Tokyo?

faq You can only travel to JR Nagano station with Japan rail pass. From Nagano you need to take Nagaden train to Yudanaka then a bus to Kanbayashi Onsen. From Kanbayashi Onsen, 30mins walking trail leads to the Monkey Park.

Q. Can I buy a Japan Rail Pass at your office?

faq Yes, you can buy the pass at our Holborn office and receive the pass straight away. But please note the price is £10 higher than online order.

Q. when I should purchase a JR Rail Pass?

I just wanted to enquire when I should purchase a JR Rail Pass online if I will be travelling to Japan in November.

faq You will need to validate the exchange order in Japan within 3 months from your order.

So it depends on your arrival date, if you arrive Japan and are able to validate it on/before 05 Nov you can place an order today.

When you validate the pass in Japan you can specify your pass starting date. You can choose any date within the following month to start using your pass.

Q. Exchange at Narita or Station?

Do you recommend exchanging the pass at Narita airport or at Tokyo station? I don’t plan to use while I am in Tokyo for the first 4 nights.

faq Our staff has once experienced one hour waiting at Narita airport exchange office as there was a long queue and was very busy… but we also hear from our clients that it went very smooth without waiting. So it really depends on how busy when you visit… if you don’t plan to use immediately then you can visit one of the major stations while you are in Tokyo.
